The Awesome Work of GoodSmileCompany, My Ryougi Shiki

After a week waiting for the arrival of another new product, I finally got the PVC figure of Ryougi Shiki today. This is a 1/6 PVC figure produced by GoodSmileCompany, the sculptors are from MAX, another famous figure company.

I compared the only two figures of Ryougi Shiki and I am convinced that my choice is the better one.

The particular parts of the figure is very satisfying. It seems the figure is showing the Shiki decides to kill the ghost in the dead body after dropped from the 3rd floor…

I really love this figure…XD

Recently I read Kara no Kyoukai again and find myself fascinated with Shiki….

I strongly recommend anyone who loves Ryougi Shiki to play the doujin game Battle Moon Wars Silver. Shiki is a playable role in the game and I guess Shiki is the strongest character of ALL…XD

I am fascinated with Kara no Kyoukai, and have gotten this figurine myself. Was wrestling the thought of either getting this or the entire Type-Moon collection, which also have a relatively impressive Ryougi Shiki, amongst other impressive figurines of Ciel, Saber and Rin.

I have a question though. Did Shiki ever use a katana, as depicted on the cover of the second book?

Also, given the broken ground in this figurine, is the scene really the part as you’d described “It seems the figure is showing the Shiki decides to kill the ghost in the dead body after dropped from the 3rd floor…”? Thought it looked more like the battle with err… *what’s the name of that magic-user again* Sōren Araya (荒耶宗蓮).

I am so happy to find a fan of kara no kyoukai. ^_^

I read the Chinese version of Kara no Kyoukai. It is true that Shiki used the Katana named 九字的兼定 which means a katana which was embedded 临兵斗者皆正列在前 on the blade. 临兵斗者皆正列在前 is a kind of abracadabra to summon the 密宗不动明王.

I am sorry but it is very hard to explain it in English.

According to the Chinese translation I read, Shiki was using the katana when she was fighting with Souren Araya.
And at that time she was only wearing the kimono.

So I think the figure is showing the scene happened outside the hospital. At that time Touko Aozaki throwed the silver knife to Shiki.

I also took a look at the figure box of the character of Type-Moon. But finally I decided to buy GSC’s figure.
Because I think the quality of the figure box is not qualified… IMO…

Surely, it is not detailed enough.. and the face of the characters seem dull… (-_-)

I know this is old, and you probably already know, but the sword is known as Kanesada, and it has the Kuji enscribed on it, hence Kuji Kanesada.
