ACGISM

This page is mainly show some abbreviations and slangs which are related to ACG and in constant use in my writting……I list these things aime to let you could have a better understanding with my writting content more or less(Yes, I don’t want to make you a hard times besides my poor English writting). so the following is so far I could find and use in my writting, If you have found some weird words which make you at a loss in my article, you may as well take a look at these:

ACG: Yes, you may already know its meaning……As you can see, just the abbreviation for Animation Comic and Game.

OTL (or it could be typed as ORZ /OTZ/ OIL , O|￣|＿, and other similar form):
This, is a posture, it stand several means as follow:
1. You feel surprise about something
2。Worship sb. or sth.
3. You feel feeble when hear say something. (not a good things mostly)
4. You don’t know how to deal with the thing
5. You upset about something
6. An indecent posture in some peculiar occasion…… (Mostly be used for BL/GL…….,in anime field )

囧: (冏)
Actually, it is a Chinese character, the original mean is “brilliant & bright”, and for this sake the creator makes its shape like a window. But now, it’s means has totally changed, some guys said that it just looks like a sorrow & upset face more, and then it prevail on the Internet in China…especially in the Anime field….. Now its main usage
1. In constant use for Self-mockery,
2. Boggle at something far beyond you could reckon
3 To show one’s embarrassment

KUSO: it’s a pronunciation from the Japanese word:“くそ”. The original meaning is kinda fierce denying or oral insult (Like “Damn”or “Bull Shit”in English，you might have heard it oftentimes if you watch many a anime).But now it is more frequently used with means of prank & monkeyshine. For instance, we could describe the South Park as a KUSO anime…… or the Hare Hare Dance copy from the ED of The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is also a KUSO. Anyway, it could be cheated a noun as well as an adjective.
1. be used to express the feeling that you are angry about sth.
2. Prank, Monkeyshine and Leg-pull.

OTAKU:Still a Japanese word:“ お宅”, means that someone who are deeply addict to sth.(Especially indulge in the Animation or Game, and the relevant productions) ,but in fact it’s a derogatory word , cause lots of OTAKU in Japan are so crazy about ACG and then make some blight to their real life.

OVA: Original Video Animation., its product cost is higher in contrast with the TV edition anime, means that the quality of it will be supposed to have the upper hand. Usually this Kind of anime is sold in the form of DVD or Video Tape Recorder

CV: Voice of Character, those people who dub for the animation. In Japanese it called “声優”（SeiYuu）

AVG: Adventure game, or someone called it Audiovisual game. Most of them we could meet is galgame.(even though they are not totally the same kind, the galgame belong to one offshoot of the AVG). Like the ToHeart , D.C, Shuffle, Air, Kanon, etc. The characteristic of this game type is that the game is it just like electric novel; provide plenty of multiple choices for you during your play of the game, and your different choose answer will lead to different ending.
